We digitise or scan images, film, photographs, maps in fact anything other than documents. Our specialty lies in our understanding of image making, it is something we have done since 1982 but digitally for the last 10 years. We do not treat our scanners like photocopiers we treat them like the enlargers we used to have in our darkrooms, we cajoal the best we can from the film or prints we are given. We will often choose to use a camera to provide a digital image, allowing us to provide sympathetic lighting to encourage life back into old photographs, paintings and drawings.

We work regularly with artists who need their art work digitised for printing or web presentation, having an empathy for the work of artists means that we understand what is desired and use the digital skills we have, just as we did in the past with film.

We can provide a standard scan and allow you to work your Photoshop magic or you can let us perform wonders and retouch, rebuild and re-make. Photo editing, manipulation and retouching are part of skillset we bring to the process of scanning and digitising.

Digitising/Scanning is £4.50 per item but we will consider discounts for quantity

Photoshop manipulation, editing and retouching is charged at £15 per quarter hour

Images as digital files are supplied as Tiff, JPEG and prepared for web use, bring your data stick and we will not charge you for a disk.

Printing

We print using high quality inks and papers that have a life of up to 200 years. Our giclee/inkjet printers are capapble of stunning results, ask to see samples.
